One of my favorite books is "To Kill a Mockingbird". This was inspired by a quote from the book.
"Mockingbirds don't do nothing but make music for us to enjoy. They don't eat up people's gardens or nest in corncribs. They don't do but one thing but sing their heart's out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird." Miss Maudie Atkinson

... of the many trees in the garden but two were named ... genesis 2:9 ... though the mockingbird was surely free to use all ...
That is so meaningful
An amazing piece. The colors and textures open another world where literature, painting and nature are drawn together in front of the eyes. The lush greens, red-rooted browns and floating blues merge and open a door between viewing and feeling the warmth of the piece. I am more at home now that the Mockingbird Tree warms our house.
